What is he doing in there?

I have a problem. Well, lots of problems, but we'll just talk about the one. I have a son who takes for-ev-er in the bathroom. I keep asking him, "What are you doing in there?" not really wanting a real answer because that could be more information than I want, but still wanting to know what takes him so long. We will be having dinner and waiting for him to come, and he's in the bathroom. It's time to get ready to go somewhere, and he's still in the bathroom. So anyway, I think I finally figured it out, at least in part. I walked into our bathroom today and found these:




I guess that's one reason why he takes so long. He's drawing, among other things. If there are other reasons, I'm not sure I want to know what they are.

Wonder where they are? Do you know the song? Tanner and Parker have recently discovered Blue's Clues, a cute show from Nick Jr. Well, the other day I hear Parker talking to Shane about his "candy, candy notebook." It should be "handy, dandy notebook," but it's so much cuter his way. The "notebook" is a fridge magnet, but I love his imagination. This is what happened next. (Ignore my messy house, it was Sunday and I wasn't cleaning.)

New Shirts

We were at Wal-Mart the other day, and Tanner saw a shirt he just wanted so much we couldn't resist. Of course, then Parker needed one, too. Tanner's shirts says "Silly", which is what he is when it comes time to takes pictures. As I mentioned earlier, he doesn't like to make normal faces for pictures. He just wants to be weird. Hence, these pictures:

Parker's Birthday

I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but Parker is still afraid of flame. He knows that he needs to blow out the candles, but he tries to do it from far away. It was his third birthday, and I can't believe my baby is 3. He totally skipped over the terrible 2's, which was wonderful considering that Tanner was horrible from 2-4. (I love the little guy, but he was a beast.) He's very sweet now, so I guess it's time for Parker to have his time to be a little monster. Although, to be fair, he is only monsterish every once in a while.

Anyway, =>! Grandma Clayson and Grandma Medellin sent his some money for his birthday, and after pulling almost every single toy off the shelves to try, he picked this. Thank you, Grandmas!!



He had a good birthday, and got everything he wanted. I love 3-year-olds that are easy to please. Sorry the videos are so dark. I'm not the best videographer.
